DescriptionThe blue-green jade is of semi-translucent with clouding and white speckling, amber veins and tinges. The thin piece, slightly up-curved at pointed end, is spearhead-shaped with unusual-seen stem end. A gentle longitudinal ridge resembles the midrib of a blade. At the low part, the edges are simply but symmetric notched, that might have been modified by later time, presumably in Han for carving a cicada. But that assumption needs further investigation. A relative large original biconical perforation appears just above the low part. Traces earth and red pigment remains.
