DescriptionThis beaked oinochoe belongs to a category of vases that are only decorated with floral motifs that are usually painted in black silhouette against the native red colour of ceramic. It is from a workshop in Tarquina, and exhibits a decorative pattern of upright palmettes alternating with a flower with splayed leaves that were applied with a thick brush.
