DescriptionThis lamp is made of Bubastis ware ( grey clay with traces of mica) from the eastern Nile Delta region. The black slip-coating has been polished to a metallic-looking finish, and it is decorated with relief patterns. The lug handle is in the shape of a stylised dolphin.
