DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 7th rank civil official (mandarin duck). Navy silk embroidered with silk floss in peking knot; some motifs are outlined with couched gold thread. Left-facing bird on mound in billows with precious objects; peonies and peaches grow from rocks at the sides; clouds and bats in sky above. Border of two variations of shou character.
