DescriptionSet of insignia for the front and back of a man's pufu (overcoat); military rank of the 1st degree (qilin). Blue-black satin ground; design embroidered in silk floss and gold thread. Qilin right-facing (as worn). Animal on flat-topped mound above wave border containing four Buddhist symbols; clouds and other four Buddhist symbols in blue, green, and red peking knot outlined with couched white cord, against background of couched gold thread. Fret border of couched gold thread. Front halves uncut.
