DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of a pufu (overcoat) of a military rank of the 1st degree (qilin). Silk blue-black gauze ground. Design embroidered in counted stitch with some couching on animal. Qilin on mound in billows containing buddhist symbols; peaches and peonies growing from rocks at sides; bat and clouds in background. Fret border of couched gold thread. Front halves sewn together.
