Description

Silk lampas with cannetillé ground, liseré patterning and silk frisé brocading. The ground of this lampas is chequered in dark pink cannetillé warp floats. The white stripes are cannetillé decorated with liseré weft floats. The floral design is done in white and green liseré pattern wefts and brocaded white frisé. Dress silks with small floral designs restrained by vertical stripes were typical of this period.
