DescriptionThe Moche brought people to life by modeling them into jars. Like a portrait, this stirrup-spout jar likely realistically depicts the features of a Moche Lord that posed for artist.  These jars are commonly found in tombs and were difficult to use in life - liquid once poured in is cumbersome to pour out.
