DescriptionThis white-slipped stirrup spout jar depicts two fish outlined in red. The fish swim across the vessel, but feature human-like arms and legs. Animals were often anthropomorphized among the Moche, reflecting distinctions between humans and animals that were far fuzzier then the ones that we make today.
