DescriptionThis silver armband with four medallions was made for a woman named Anna. One of the medallions is engraved with an image of Mary holding the Christ Child. The accompanying inscription implores "Mother of God help Anna. Grace." Medico-magical armbands of this type were made for women as a protection against internal disorders.
